Privacy Policy

• Account and profile information. Your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code or a supported sign-in provider; your name, when provided; your date of birth, used to confirm that you are 18 or older; and the gender option you select, used to calibrate wording and avoid misgendering you in a reflection. If you request early access, we also store the name and dream-related response you submit so we can review and answer your request.
• Dream journal content. The dreams you save — title, body text, date, mood, vividness rating, tags, notes, and reflections generated for you — are stored so your journal is available across sessions and devices. Before you save, Atlani may keep one unfinished dream for your account. It is stored locally in your browser or in encrypted storage on your device for fast, offline-friendly recovery, and a private copy is synced to your account so you can continue on another signed-in device. The synced draft is protected by account-scoped access controls and is treated as expired after 30 days without changes.
• AI-generated memory images. If you request a memory image for a dream, the dream text is sent to our AI image provider to generate an image, which is then stored in your private journal.
• Explore favorites. If you favorite an entry in Explore (our curated collection of historical dreams), we store which entries you've favorited. Explore content itself is editorial and not user-generated.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or photos. If you enable reminders, we store your notification preferences and a device push token so the reminder can reach that device. We also collect limited service diagnostics, such as error type, affected route, request method, request identifier, and a coarse web-or-mobile platform signal. These diagnostics are designed not to include dream content, notes, instructions sent to AI, or AI output. We do not use advertising or behavioral-tracking SDKs.

• To operate your journal: storing, retrieving, and syncing your dreams and notes.
• To generate reflections, symbol tags, and memory images you request. Depending on the feature, we send the relevant dream text and limited context needed for that request to our AI provider. For reflections, that context may include mood, tags, your calculated age, the gender option you selected, and brief recurring symbols, emotional tones, or labels from recent reflections. We do not send your name, email address, exact date of birth, or the raw text of other dreams to the AI provider.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To detect your preferred language from your device or browser settings, so Explore content is shown in that language. We do not store this preference separately from your device's own settings.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers.

• A cloud database and authentication provider. Your account and journal data are stored securely on this provider's infrastructure.
• An AI service provider. Used only when you request a reflection, symbol analysis, or memory image. Our current API provider states that API data is not used to train its models by default. It may retain request and response content for 30 days by default and, in limited circumstances, longer under its safety, legal, and data-retention policies or any data controls configured for our account.

A transactional email provider receives your email address and the specific service message it delivers. Notification delivery uses Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging when you enable reminders. Our hosting providers process requests in transit. We do not use advertising networks or share your journal for advertising.

Your journal is retained for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your dreams, notes, AI-generated images, and account record — this cannot be undone.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Your journal entries are private by default and protected by account-scoped access controls designed to prevent other users from accessing them.

Atlani is intended only for people who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit accounts or collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete the account and associated data. Contact us at the address below if you believe this has happened.

As Atlani evolves, this policy may be updated to reflect new features or changes in how the service operates. We’ll update the effective date above when that happens.
